We Congratulate Tom Wicks and Wish Him Well After a Lifetime of Banking
With heavy hearts but well wishes, we announce that Tom Wicks is retiring after 29 years with The Peoples Bank. Originally hailing from “The Garden State” of New Jersey, Tom joined The Peoples Bank team in December of 1993, where he spent his entire 29 years in banking, working his way up from a Trust Administrator to Assistant Vice President in the Trust and Asset Management department.
Prior to The Peoples Bank, Tom was a Mission Commander / Airborne Communications Officer in the United States Navy. He led a crew of 14 personnel on independent deployments in both the Atlantic and Pacific as part of the Navy's Airborne Command, Control, and Communications Network.
In his time at The Peoples Bank, Tom says that being able to help people with their finances has been the most rewarding aspect of his job. He has also loved working alongside an excellent team of professionals. On his way out, Tom offered some passing words of advice:
“Always have a desire to keep learning new ideas and concepts, striving to improve your service to others continually.”
We’ll take these words to heart, Tom, and we thank you for all your years of impeccable service. Congratulations on your retirement!
