Sherry Busby Retires After 25 Years of Service

Sherry Busby is retiring from The Peoples Bank at the end of July after 25 years of dedicated service. Sherry, originally from Biloxi, has been part of The Peoples Bank since June 1998. She had already worked in banking for 20 years prior to joining, bringing her total experience in the field to 45 years. Hired initially as a Teller at the Veterans Avenue Branch, she was later called to the main office to work in Account Services, where she discovered how much she loved making our customers feel valued, always encouraging them to keep coming back for continued service. It’s that dedication to giving each customer the attention they need that Sherry found most rewarding about her position.

“I always got the job done efficiently. If a customer came to me with a problem, I always helped them understand and solve it. If I didn’t know the answer, I would find the right person. My customers always left smiling, and it always made me feel good to go that extra step!”
